Breakthrough Miami

I started volunteering with Breakthrough Miami in 11th grade. Every other Saturday from 8-2pm, I spend my day with kids from low income backgrounds teaching them science and leading activities. For example, I taught a class about Engineering and Structural Design and then the students had to use certain materials to create a structure which could carry a heavy object ranging from a phone to a textbook

EcoClub

I am the Chief Operations Officer of EcoClub. We organize beach clean-ups near Miami. The Greatest Haul was at the Julia Tuttle Causeway where 6 people, including myself, were able to collect 750 lbs of trash.

Scope

I joined Scope in 10th grade. We raise money for low income kids to be able to go to sleep-away camps. Iā€™m in charge of our Candygram program.
